Merry Christmas from Tick Tock Taxi
It’s here, it’s here, it’s here! Even if you’ve been living underneath a rock for the last month, you probably still have an inkling that Christmas is upon us. Perhaps you’ve heard the jingling of sleigh bells in the distance, caught the scent of warm mince pies wafting through the air or felt the temperature creep further towards freezing. All the more reason not to be a Scrooge; bring on the toasty log fires and mulled wine!
Aside from all the festive cheer, one of the defining things about London at Christmas is the mad rush on all public transport. Some are frantically trying to fit in some last second shopping for overlooked parents in law, whilst others are eagerly trying to make their way to the homes of family and friends. Even those who don’t celebrate this holiday find it hard to avoid the seasonal rush! It’s a good job that London taxis don’t stop working as soon as the famous Coca Cola advert comes on television. Thanks to them, we can get our armfuls of shopping bags (canvas ones, of course) home safely without having to endure a crush of crowds. There are so many other stresses around the holidays that we don’t need travel to b be one of them!
Although so many of us dream of a white Christmas, this winter has been unseasonably mind and sunny. Rather than mourning the chance to build snowmen, let’s look at the bright side; all the roads are running smoothly! It has alleviated some of the chaos we’ve seen in previous years and means that minicabs in London can continue to get you where you need to be on time.
